With late nights, warm breezes, and days grilling on the deck right around the corner I can’t think of a better recipe to share than a signature cocktail from our friends at The Rising Sun Inn!
Owner and Executive Chef, Fred Duerr, shares his favorite warm weather cocktail to impress your guests…or there’s no shame in enjoying this pretty little drink while relaxing on the couch alone (I may or may not have done this).
I tried this summery concoction when I visited Chef Fred recently. I’m not much of a drinker anymore (during my Penn State days I could smoke you during a game of pong), but this sunny little cocktail I can get down with. Crisp, sweet, with a little bit of tart this is a drink you’ll want to make all season long!
The Rising Sun Inn Signature House Drink
1/2 oz. pomegranate liqueur
1/2 oz. orange vodka
2 oz. orange juice
2-3 oz. champagne
- Pour pomegranate liqueur, orange vodka, and orange juice into a shaker with ice
- Strain into wine glass
- Add 2-3 oz. of champagne
- Garnish with an orange slice
